Organic Sourdough Baguette

The organic baguette had an excellent taste and texture. I liked the flexibility--- it was baked partially such that I could warm and finish the baguette to a light brown or a hard crunch. Either way, the inside had very good taste and texture --- just right. It was fully cooked, not gummy, not dry, and just moist enough. More than the high quality products, the owners are good people--- kind, courteous, generous, concerned, and connected to those of us they serve. I appreciate their being in our neighborhood--- always a wonderful experience to stop by. I also love the almond croissants- (not overladen with fat), the jalapeno kolaches, the blueberry muffins, the oatmeal cookies, the cinnamon roll. ...And my husband (in his lifetime) loved their coffee and conversation. God bless the Artisana Bread Family.

White Organic Sourdough Batard

Have tried quite a few items at Artisana Bread. Everything has been excellent and of the highest quality! Their bakery is located near the Houston Heights and you can catch them at the Urban Harvest Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Order ahead online from their website to make sure you get the items you want because they often sell out of the more popular breads and pastries.

Pain au Chocolat

Oh man these croissants are too good (better than any others in Houston, and trust me, I've had *many*) and we live entirely too close to the store location. My husband goes almost every Saturday and grabs us a chocolate croissant, two ham and cheese croissants, and one almond croissant.

These croissants are delicious! In 2020, we conducted a family taste test and bought a croissant from each vendor at Urban Harvest FM. Artisana's croissant won...we've been buying them refularly ever since. Yum!

Bacon and Cheddar Scone

The Bacon and Cheddar Scones are my absolute favorite! I crave them all the time. It's a wonderful little bite of heaven, filled with bacon, cheese, and peppercorn pepper. The best I've ever had!

Sausage and Cheese Kolache

Yuuuummmmyy! Man! They have THE BEST sausage kolaches I've had in town!! If you like a real good, quality hunk of tasty sausage in your kolache (like the kind I occasionally drive out to Chappell Hill to enjoy) that's always cooked perfectly (not dry and over-cooked like some), look no further, Artisana has it! Plus, I can scarcely resist picking up on of their delicious loaves of bread for the week while I'm there. ;) Fairly priced bread too. I feel lucky to live so close to this place.

Organic Baguette

Hands down my favorite baguette in the city of Houston. Maybe anywhere, in fact!

Organic demi-baguettes, bag of 4

These baguettes are genius. I love to keep them in my freezer so when I want a loaf of fresh bread, I thaw and bake it for a fresh out of the oven loaf. Delicious every time!

Organic Cranberry Walnut

I love bread & Artisana is my go to for the best home made bread! My favorite thing this year was the cranberry walnut bread at Christmas time. I also love their croissants, because they make such good ones! :) Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
